Volcanic Lavastone
Black lavastone and red lavastone are extrusive igneous rocks formed through the volcanic activity of Mount Merapi in Central Java, Indonesia. Black lavastone is known for its bold natural black color, low porosity, and high resistance to weathering and environmental changes. Meanwhile, red lavastone features distinctive reddish to brick-brown tones, a strong natural texture, and a warmer overall appearance. Both types of stone have long been used in building and architectural applications, including historic structures such as Borobudur and Prambanan Temples, demonstrating their durability against time and natural conditions for centuries.
